This section describes only the Action Area of the Energy Management Service.
It covers the structure, states, icons, and the exact behavior of the Action Area.

Position and Function of the Action Area

The Action Area is located on the left side of the interface, below the gray dashboard bar.

It is the central configuration area for:

  • Dashboards
  • Metrics
  • Calculations
  • Rates
  • Reports
  • Tree Access
  • Alerts

The Action Area always acts contextually on the currently active dashboard.

Visibility of the Action Area

Show and Hide

To the left of the dashboard name in the gray bar, there is a toggle button.

  • Clicking this button:
  • completely shows or hides the Action Area
  • The Dashboard Area automatically adjusts its width

No content is deleted or modified.

Tabs in the Action Area

The Action Area is divided into several tabs.

By default, the following tabs are available:

  • Dashboard
  • Metrics
  • Calculations
  • Rates
  • Reports
  • Tree Access
  • Alerts

Clicking a tab:

  • changes the content of the Action Area
  • does not change the content of the Dashboard Area

Pin Icon

Position

The pin icon is located to the right of the tabs within the Action Area.

Function

Clicking the pin icon:

  • changes the width and position of the Action Area
  • enables an extended working mode
  • provides more space for lists, forms, and metering points

The pin icon has no effect on:

  • saved data
  • configurations
  • dashboards or widgets

Lock Icon (Tree Lock)

Position

The lock icon is located in the Metrics tab, above the Tree View.

Locked State

When the lock is closed:

  • the Tree View is read-only
  • metering points cannot be renamed
  • drag and drop is disabled
  • no structural changes are possible

This is the default state.

Unlocked State

When the lock icon is opened:

  • the Tree View becomes editable
  • metering points can be renamed
  • metrics and metering points can be moved using drag and drop
  • structural changes are saved immediately

Clicking the lock icon again closes it.

Save Concept of the Action Area

All changes made within the Action Area:

  • are saved immediately
  • do not require a separate save button
  • take effect instantly

Closing the Action Area or switching tabs does not affect the save state.
