This section describes exclusively the Reports tab in the Action Area of the Energy Management Service.
It fully covers all report types, dialogs, required fields, options, and states.
Purpose of the Reports Tab
The Reports tab is used to:
- export dashboards as PDF files
- create reports manually or on a recurring basis
- export individual widgets
Reports always refer to the currently active dashboard.
Basic Structure of the Reports Tab
The Reports tab consists of:
- a filter bar with search functionality
- a plus icon for creating new reports
- two main sections:
- Recurring Reports
- Manual Reports
Each section displays a counter.
Relationship Between Dashboard and Reports
- Each dashboard has its own reports
- Switching the dashboard changes the report context
- Reports from other dashboards are not visible
Plus Icon in the Reports Tab
Clicking the plus icon opens the following options:
- Export Single Report
- Recurring Report
- Export Widgets
Single Report (Manual Report)
Start
The user clicks:
Plus → Export Single Report
Header Image
Optionally, a header image can be imported.
- The image appears on the first page of the PDF
- The import is done via Import Header
Required and Optional Fields
Required fields:
- Title
- Description
Optional fields:
- Subtitle
- Company
- Author
Additional Options
The user can choose to:
- display the date in the report
- include a dashboard link
- insert widget descriptions
- include statistics
Logo
A company logo can be added via Import Logo.
- The logo appears on the first page
Export
By clicking Export:
- the report is generated in the background
- the user can continue working
Availability
After completion:
- the report appears under Manual Reports
- it can be downloaded or deleted
Managing Manual Reports
Display
Under Manual Reports:
- the number of reports is shown
- reports can be expanded
Actions
Via the three-dot menu of a report:
- Download
- Delete
Recurring Reports
Start
The user clicks:
Plus → Recurring Report
Content
The content largely corresponds to the Single Report:
- header image
- Title (required)
- Subtitle
- Description (required)
- logo
- dashboard link
Mailing List
Additionally:
- a mailing list can be defined
- multiple email addresses can be entered
If no email addresses are defined:
- the report is stored internally only
Schedule
Via Everyday starts at …, a scheduling dialog opens.
The user can define:
- frequency:
- daily
- weekly
- monthly
- yearly
- interval:
- every X days, weeks, months, or years
- time:
- start of the day
- end of the day
Preview and Creation
- Preview shows a preview of the report
- Create saves the recurring report
The report appears only:
- after the first successful generation
Managing Recurring Reports
Recurring reports can be:
- paused
- edited
- deleted
Generated individual reports appear:
- as child elements under the recurring report
Widget Export
Start
The user clicks:
Plus → Export Widgets
Selection
All widgets of the dashboard are displayed.
The user can:
- select individual widgets
- select all widgets
Export
The selected widgets can be exported:
- collectively
- individually
