Finally we can release our first add-on, just in time for winter and the holidays! We are both proud and excited, because the DMS Basic Add-on for the Device Management Service adds many frequently requested features to Proficloud.io.
These features can be activated for 9€ per device/per year:
Always keep your firmware up to date – even without manual effort!
Never worry again if the firmware on the device is up to date – because with the DMS Basic Add-on you can set up for certain devices that the firmware updates automatically at a certain point in time.
Use device groups to create more transparency in your company.
Use the device groups in the DMS Basic add-on to create a better overview for different device groups. With the additional option of storing your own plan (as an image) in a device group and freely place the devices on it, you create easily accessible knowledge from which you, your company or your partners can benefit.
Get notified directly when changes occur – even outside Proficloud.io
Now you can additionally set up alerts and send device status changes via email to different recipients. Create transparency beyond the boundaries of Proficloud.io and benefit from the new features offered by the DMS Basic add-on.
Application Updates remotely
Save yourself the on-site inspection of systems just to install new applications on the devices and plan and execute these processes comfortably and securely from your desk.

Anton Schönenberg is Product Owner for the Device Management Service and the DMS Basic Add-on and has this to say about the Smart Service extension:
“It is important to us that we work and develop close to the customer, which means that we evaluate and implement customer requirements if there is a great benefit for all users of Proficloud.io. This is the case, for example, with the Application Update, which enables an international customer (and of course every one else, who is using the DMS Basic Add-on) to set up and control many of its systems quickly and effectively.
The same applies to the groupings of devices – we have been planning this functionality for a bit longer, but through discussions with existing users we were able to enrich the feature, for example, with the upload of images (e.g. hall plans or own maps). Here our users can freely place the devices of the group on the image and thus achieve a great transparency and understanding.”

The DMS Basic Add-on enriches the functions of the Device Management Service with some important but simple features. In the future, more add-ons for the Core Smart Service will follow with the same naming convention – so stay tuned!
