You can also “feed” the EMMA Service with third-party measuring devices. These devices can be connected via a gateway such as the PLCnext Controller with the PLCnext Engineer or EPCs that run with Node-RED, among others.

This transforms the Smart Service from being rigidly tied to specific devices to an open, more diverse Smart Service – without sacrificing user-friendliness. On the contrary: it is now possible to monitor energy, gas, water and CO2 emissions from a wide variety of sources in the EMMA Service and derive appropriate measures.

The KPI function can also be used to calculate important key figures for the industry directly in the EMMA Service.
